With over 400 events per year, ranging from intimate dinners for 10 to upscale parties for 1,000, candidates should be prepared to be flexible and responsive to the Sales & Event Planner and client.
The Assistant Event Planner provides support for the Director of Sales.
On-the-job training and development will be provided, which will prepare the individual for a possible future account manager role within the organization.
Essential duties and
Responsibilities:
Attend all client meetings Order linen and coordinate pre-event packing for offsite events Create timelines and floor plans for each event Maintain event information in CaterEase, Salesforce and hard copy files by event Participate in both group and individual client tastings Monitor delivery of goods and services to ensure contract terms are satisfied Execute events as needed (including some holidays, evenings and weekends) Work closely with Sales team, Warehouse Manager and Executive Chef Research industry trends Spearhead special projects as directed Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of one 1- 2 years catering sales and event planning experience a plus Strong drive and desire to learn and grow to move into a sales position Experience in organizing and managing events such as corporate meetings, luncheons, weddings and other special occasions a plus Excellent customer service skills Superior organizational skills Strong attention to detail Able to multi-task and meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook Experience with CaterEase and Salesforce a plus To be considered for this position, candidates should send a resume along and cover letter with salary requirements.
