Cloud Engineer

This is a 12 month contract with Vanguard.
Hybrid onsite in Malvern PA.
2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
Visa - All.
Python - Required Familiar with AWS - such as lambda, S3 - has to be able to leverage the cloud.
SQL - important Data Visualization skills - Dashboard, Power BI Knowledge of excel Looking for a mix of developer/analyst skills Writes ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, extract data from APIs, designs database systems and, develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing using Python and AWS technologies Re-platforming existing data processes i.
e.
existing Excel workbooks with macros, VBA code to scalable Cloud services and processes Collaborate with Modernization/Cloud Business Office/Global Technology Office teams to collect and run diverse & large datasets that support better business decisions Writes complex ad hoc queries using Python/SQL Participate all phases of solution development and explain technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients and other team members Mastery of data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI or Excel.
Translates technical specifications, and/or design models into code for new or enhancement projects.
Writes programs and reports Elevates code into the development, test, and Production environments on schedule.
Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues and ensure methodology compliance.
Participates in systems analysis activities, including system requirements analysis and definition, e.
g.
prototyping.
Participates in other meetings, such as those for use case creation and analysis.
Writes the system/technical portion of assigned deliverables.
Assists technical team members with the system/technical portion of their deliverables, e.
g.
, systems testers with test plans.
Performs unit testing and writes appropriate unit test plans to ensure requirements are satisfied.
Assists in integration, systems, acceptance, and other related testing as needed.
Develops understanding of client business functions and technology needs.
Develops understanding of Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with the business areas and other systems Interfaces with cross functional teams, including associated Data Analysts, Scientists and Developers.
Complies with IT policies and procedures, especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team to meet established milestones.
Understands and adheres to Vanguard's Diversity mission and policies.

Experience:
Familiarity w/ AWS Services (Lambda, EKS, ECS, EC2, CloudFormation, RedShift, S3, Glue, AWS SDKs, IAM, Storage Gateway) Software Development and implementation:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
