Manager, Data Reporting

About Our Team Program and Partner Management team is part of IIG SPO (Strategy, Partnership and Operations) and manages IIG Tier 1 relationships with vendors such as Infosys, Ascensus, HealthEquity, etc.
Our team provides governance around service delivery, relationship management, risk and controls, and tracks operational performance in real time through Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
We have built a robust contract management program that improves the divisions third party oversight and establishes best practices throughout Vanguard.
A key function of our team is to develop expansive reporting suite to bring transparency to operational health of the division.
For instance, we frequently get involved in developing management report for Full Service, VRPA, and VIAS offerings.
We are looking for a passionate individual for this high visibility role that provides ample opportunities to interact with divisional leadership and resolve strategic business challenges by leveraging the power of analytics.
In this role, you will:

Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew.
Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew.
Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

Engage with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals.
Bring structure to business requests, translate requirements into an analytical project approach, and lead sophisticated projects through completion.
Delegate tasks and provide tactical and strategic guidance to peers.
Servesas the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for large strategic initiatives.

Lead a team of analysts as they deliver presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.
Provide expert consulting to create recommendations that incorporate an understanding of both the business unit's operational goals and the analytics skills, tools, data and processes to achieve them.

Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships in order to lead cross-departmental and cross-divisional data projects and coordinate the resolution of operational problems and issues.

Own and handle monthly reporting cycle and be ready to add to team's capacity by preparing and delivering expert level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.

Support team's continuous development to advance their technical skillsets, and to stay informed of industry innovations in analytics and tools.

Actively develop the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching and connecting others with resources and training.
Participate and present during scheduled analytics seminars.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
What it takes:

Expert knowledge of data visualization tools, data storytelling, and business needs to deliver data in a way that enables business users to quickly understand state of the business, form action plans, and ask better questions.

Experience developing, owning, and managing suite of business aligned BI products.

Demonstrated track record of building strong relationships across technical and non-technical crew.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.

Strategic thinking.

Tool belt:
Tableau, SQL, Python, Jira.
