Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position.
The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites.
QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment.
During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
Testing will be centered around our sub-GHz RF IoT sensors and devices.
Team works in a Kanban style agile environment in the Atlassian toolset.
Required Skills:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 2-4 years industry experience testing software, including microprocessor based embedded devices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment.
Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.
Agile and Kanban experience, experience testing devices with wireless protocol, software development experience Preferred Skills:
Experience with Agile and Kanban Experience testing devices with wireless protocol Typical Day in the Role:
Interaction with team/Day to Day:
Daily morning meetings (845am) to go over plan for the day and check-in, test strategies, release schedules, fun and energetic team, report product readiness, contribute information to help make business decisions, develop firmware for edge devices to use with ring alarm Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition:
