Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)

Partner with Inventiv Health Clinical and our West Philadelphia pharmaceutical client to support the Medical Affairs/HEOR Research group. Use your statistical experience to provide analytical support to Scientific Communications and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) groups within Medical Affairs. This position will report to the head of Biostatistics and Statistical programming team and has a dotted line reporting structure to Medical Affairs/HEOR. Duties and
Responsibilities:
Plan, lead and implement statistical analyses to support publications, presentations and other projects for Scientific Communications and HEOR groups within Medical Affairs; work closely with Scientific Communications and HEOR to define analyses
Perform statistical analyses using statistical programming/software, lead preparation of data presentations (tables, listings, figures) to communicate results of analyses effectively
Participate in study concept, protocol and SAP development and ensure appropriateness of HEOR study design, sample size and statistical methodologies proposed
Support HEOR projects by preparing targeted literature searches and performing analyses using published and publicly-available data sources
Coordinate with other biostatisticians to ensure consistency of statistical analyses, interpretation and data reporting within clinical trials
Communicate with and explain methodology for and results of analyses to medical writers and other colleagues within Medical Affairs
Collaborates in the preparation of publications and manuscripts, abstracts and materials for presentation

Desired Skills and Experience
Master's Degree in Public Health or related discipline and 2 years of experience or PhD in a related field
Proficient in SQL, SAS and R programming; working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
Prior experience with Truven, MarketScan, OPTUM, IMS(Xponent/Plantrak), and/or Wolters Kluwer type of data - Highly Desired
Ability to carry out statistical and HEOR analyses with supervision and prioritize accordingly
Understanding of clinical trial design and epidemiologic research methods; familiarity or experience with health economic and outcomes research methods, preferred
Experience in multiple therapeutic areas is highly desirable
Established ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing demands
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
