Group Exercise Instructor

We are looking for a dynamic Les Mills Gruop Ex instructor to teach our classes especially early morning. We stay on the cutting edge and continually bring in new programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting lively and vigorous classes, while providing instruction and assistance in a safe, enthusiastic, thorough, courteous and professional manner.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED, some college preferred
2 years' experience
Les Mills YMCA, National or General Group Ex Certifications
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
Excellent team interaction and member service skills
Responsibilities:
Be a positive YMCA role model with an enthusiastic attitude.
All scheduled classes will be held. Classes will start and end on time.
Greet participants and learn their names.
Identify your participants' limitations and adapt your classes and/or provide modifications accordingly.
When necessary find an approved substitute for class and inform Lead Instructor of staffing changes. No scheduled class can be cancelled without prior approval from Group Ex. Director.
Attend advanced training workshops that are offered throughout the year by the YMCA of the Brandywine Valley (or other co-op member YMCA).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
