Job summaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Advanced Engineering Support team.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, and skilled at working with cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Hardware/Software Development, Cloud Development, Quality Assurance, Product Management, and Business Intelligence).
You will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance, product testing and investigation, data analytics, and reporting to support metrics for device and system health.
Key job responsibilities Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues and consult with development teams when necessary.
Collect and analyze logs using tools such as Kibana, Tableau, and Splunk.
Deliver defect reports that include steps to reproduce, logs, clear description of actual results vs.
expected, and a helpful title and summary.
Keep team members informed of critical issues and escalate concerns promptly and appropriately with limited guidance from your manager or team members.
Keep up with Ring Alarm and Ring Smart Lighting operations and new features.
A day in the life You will provide advanced technical triage and troubleshooting assistance to customer service agents for Ring Alarm and Ring Smart Lighting devices.
You will troubleshoot issues and isolate bugs to assist engineers in root cause identification of problems.
You will assist in the development of a qualification process with a focus on in-depth system-level testing, analysis, and reporting of the health and performance of Ring Alarm and Ring Smart Lighting devices.
You will collaborate with internal teams to help prioritize opportunities for product improvement.
